The estate was constructed in 1977-1980. It contains 3 public housing prototypes, including 6 twin towers, 3 H-blocks and 3 slab blocks.
There are 4 major clusters in the site. They are located in the northwest, northeast, southwest and the central. A cluster of three twin towers is located on both the north and the south of the estate. The 3 H-blocks cluster is located on the northeast periphery, while in the central part, there is a cluster of 3 slab blocks. The twin towers are higher while the H-blocks and slab blocks are lower. This helps to keep more distant view for the inner taller buildings.
Community facilities, e.g. schools, ball courts, fire and police stations are allocated around those clusters. Pedestrian paths are mainly elevated while vehicular transportation is on the ground level.
