With the vers¬¬¬ion presented in 1937, the influence of the administrative city is greatly reduced, as the number of buildings to be constructed. Only four skyscrapers (Y), placed along the east-west avenue, frame symmetrically north-south. This is now extended by a tunnel beneath the Seine and the Ile de la Cité.
The goal of Le Corbusier is to save the historic center of Paris, to spare him the movement of automobiles and generate spaces large enough to appreciate the architecture. At the heart of new developments, plazas emerging view of the main monuments demolished neighborhoods.

With this new plan, the goal of Le Corbusier is to save the history of architecture in Paris, giving the city a center for the stakes of the era and history of the capital. An architectural ensemble of the twentieth century that would improve with harmonious proportions landscape drawn by ten centuries of history. The four large buildings must meet in their size and their disposal to both the stretching length of the entire Louvre City, at the Mass of Our Lady of emerging medieval buildings, and the heights of the Sacred heart, the Pantheon and the Eiffel Tower.
